    Description

Antique Circa Early 1900s Cowboy Western Faux Wood Painted Metal Bathtub.
Return now to those thrilling days of yesteryear! This is a vintage, all-original bathtub, the kind cowboys used in Western movies after they dumped in buckets of hot water. Made of steel and likely dating to the turn of the last century (or earlier), it has original faux wood painted exterior and an unpainted interior.
    A great conversation piece!
It's in very nice condition for its age, with minimal loss of its original faux wood paint. There's some light surface tarnish/rust here and there, but it's pretty minimal, too. It holds water without leaks, so it could be used as a bathtub for children. These days, however, it's more likely to be filled with pillows, not water, and serve as a decorative accent. It could also be filled with ice, liquor bottles and beer cans for your next big hoedown. I bought it more than 40 years ago in Nyack, N.Y., and took exceptional care of it ... meaning it hasn't changed much under my watch.  You'll likely never see cowboy/western bathtub in such nice original condition.
