European Cut Glass & Silverplate Grapes & Brass Overlay Decanter Circa 1890s
Late 19th century European hand blown glass decanter with panel cut and facet cut neck. Ground and polished pontiled base. Has an elaborate silverplate and brass mount. The silverplate center of the mount has repousse grapes and grape leaves. The brass portion above and below has repousse floral scrollwork designs. Circa 1890s.
The decanter is missing the stopper and has a large chip to the facet cutting at the top of the neck and a few small flakes to the facet and panel cutting on the neck. Also has some minor haze to the inside.
Measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide x 13 1/8 inches tall.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
