Holton Galaxy Cornet 1966 Nickle Silver - Reconditioned - Case & Holton 77 MP Bore: .462 - Serial# 425***
This Galaxy is a slightly earlier design than the C-401 I have listed and it is in good condition. Straight  brace instead of the Holton logo brace and 1st slide pull tab is single and in the middle, seems like some of the parts from the 60 to 65 model were used on this model. Wear showing in the hand hold area and 75% lacquer, valves look great and have excellent compression. All slides and caps are smooth. Case is in good condition with good latches and hinges, small square tail brace is loose and the horn is equipped with lyre and a nice original Holton 77 mouthpiece.

Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed
Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by
NAPBIRT

Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour)
Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly
Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed
Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale
***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.
