    Description

    What you are looking at is a rare ONE OF A KIND TAMA ARTSTAR custom floor tom. This is an original TAMA ARTSTAR CORDIA 16 X 16 floor tom that has been professionally customized with an original YAMAHA tympani foot pedal mechanism from the late 1970’s early 1980’s. The drum is 100% Original TAMA parts, except for the YAMAHA pedal attachment. When I found the YAMAHA drum, it was missing a few original parts. I found all of them except the linkage. So I hooked up the threaded rod shown in the photos. The pedal mechanism works as it should. The original long TAMA ARTSTAR lugs have been replaced with period correct TAMA single lugs. This Artstar drum originally was an EBay find. The gloss finish has some scratches and flaws that have been stained to minimize them. To make the YAMAHA parts work, one of the Tama factory lug holes was not used. These holes were plugged using an old scrap piece I had from another ARTSTAR drum. See Photos. The work done to this drum was completed over 25 years ago. This drum is big and rare. So I will not accept returns. This is an AS IS sale. It will be well packed.
