Jimmy Stewart
appeared as a guest on Art Baker's radio show on Jan. 20, 1947 (this date is present on the script's front page), listed as
"Week #20, Program #196"
.
Montgomery Ward and Co.
was the show's sponsor. The show's producer, John Nelson, "signed-off" on this Cardinal Company Production's radio script "Final Copy" with his note "Ok, Jn" (see close-up photo). The script is fifteen (15) pages in length, with eight of the pages covering the radio interview between
Art Baker
and
Jimmy Stewart
(the other remaining pages includes Baker's other radio show content from Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Day). Jimmy Stewart waxes poetic in his charming folksy style about life, and what's important. The promotional photograph measures 8" x 10", with a semi-glossy front. Both Stewart and Baker boldly autographed the photo.

On page nine of the script, after ushering Jimmy Stewart out the studio door, Baker says on-air:
"For the first time on this Notebook thing, I actually have a full-fledged radio script and I'll be
very
happy to send you a copy of the script that Jimmy Stewart used, in case you'd like to review Jimmy's comments on who is important in this old world...the point is, I'll be very happy to send you a copy of the script -- just for the asking, and then I would include a
personally autographed picture
of Jimmy Stewart (you'll have to put up with my mug alongside of his because they just snapped the two of us together a few minutes ago during the broadcast). Now, these things I'll send you...the copy of the script and the autographed picture...I'll tell you the supply of pictures is limited, I'll be happy to shoot them out just as long as they last. For what? Just for the asking - no dimes, no box tops, no facsimiles - just your name and address on a postcard will do. I tell you, put down there, 'Jimmy's script' and I'll know what you want. Address me, Art Baker, Hollywood, California".

: the mailing envelope exhibits moderate wear. The script is in *Fine Shape* overall, with the final page having detached at the staple.
